The seat that I had on my bike was the one that came from factory and unfortunately it looks comfy but the longer you ride the more it just becomes a pain in the you know what. So needless to say I was excited to get this one specifically because it is geared at women and for longer riders (which I am both). I am a pretty athletic build (5'9 and size 9) but my weight is carried on my lower half (meaning my butt can't ride comfortably on a skinny type bmx type seat without pain). I couldn't wait to get it on my bike as I received it today and go for a ride! It is beautifully constructed and is very comfortable feeling. I have recently gotten into casual bike riding, mainly when we go camping. The seat it came with was so uncomfortable and my butt and pelvic bone was sore after riding the bike! This bike seat is extra wide for extreme comfort!! This is an excellent bicycle seat for long bike rides. It has a short nose and open center for comfort. Its a perfect fit for women! It is gel padded, and you can feel how soft it is. It really is extremely comfortable!! I have a mountain bike, and recently went on about an hour bike ride after installing this seat. I was comfortable the entire bike ride, which is not usual for me! And after the ride, my pubic bone was not sore, finally! The seat was fairly easy to install. Midway through my ride the seat is hurting so much that I end up having to end sooner than I wanted. So I looked at some seats on Amazon and came across this one. A seat made with Women in mind. Smart. Upon arrival the seat came packaged rather simply just a seat in a clear plastic bag in the Amazon box. An issue I have is that the seat came with no instructions. It has with it some hardware, but I'll have to try and figure it out on my own I guess. The seat by touch feels very nicely cushioned and is wider and more cushioned than the stock one that came with my bike. (See picture) Installation and comfort.
